Taking the best from lease programs in global transportation markets of trucks, jets and ships, the product is a full service operating lease. Similar to a luxury car lease, the client selects his yacht of choice (new or used, $1 million plus value), contracts to purchase and survey (Don Patton & Assoc.), and at closing YLI purchases the yacht, and leases the yacht back to the client, reimbursing all purchase costs and deposits. A 36- to 96-month lease term begins with no down payment, and one monthly payment that includes all maintenance, insurance and finance. A satellite monitor is installed and supervised by the Fort Lauderdale based YachtVantage Lease Command Center monitoring real-time location, mechanical, electrical & fluid conditions. Quarterly detailing, annual haul-out and survey keep the yacht in top condition and an electronic maintenance file establishes the vessel with the pedigree of a certified, pre-owned YachtVantage yacht. At lease conclusion, the lessee, who is in effect the owner, can choose to continue the lease, purchase the yacht or “turn in the keys.”

The first YachtVantage owner is cruising the Pacific Northwest aboard his new 53c Marlow “Barbara Ann”, sold and delivered by Randy Crowley, President of Seattle based VenWest Yachts. The owner, a leading Los Angles advertising agency CEO, who previously owned several top brand yachts, especially liked the maintenance, service and lease end options.
