Murray Yacht Sales has bought the Sailor's Wharf Yacht Sales

Murray Yacht Sales has bought the Sailor's Wharf Yacht Sales division of the Sailor's Wharf, Inc. This will be Stanton Murray's fourth location: New Orleans LA, Mobile AL, Pensacola FL and now St. Petersburg FL. Murray Yacht Sales will be a tenant at the Sailor’s Wharf Marine Complex, joining Ronstan International, Sailing Florida/ Sunsail and the Sailor’s Wharf Yacht Yard. According to Stanton , they plan to make this location their largest. Murray Yacht Sales are New Boat Dealers for Beneteau and J Boats sailboats; Antaras power boats and Swift Trawlers.


Murray feels the combination of the Sailor's Wharf being the largest sailboat commissioning yard on the Florida West Coast, combined with the years of experience in customization of yachts, will help make their new location the premier sailboat dealership in the South. Just to show you what a small world it is, Stanton’s father, Tim Murray, was one of my dealers years ago when we were still building boats, selling the Helsen 22 and the Montego line of sailboats in the New Orleans area. It will be fun working with Stanton and his young, energetic team.


At the same time, the Sailor's Wharf has expanded their Full Service Yacht Yard with the purchase of a new remote control 75BFM Travel Lift and the purchase of an additional 17,000 sq ft of storage space that will accommodate 35 boats upland. We have always been a gateway for boats going to the Bahamas and the Caribbean and with this new expansion, we will be able to haul larger yachts with beams to 19' 6”, draft up to 9' 6" and weight up to 150,000 lbs. Even for the smaller yachts, our new lift will haul and launch boats more efficiently and safely.
