Knight & Carver YachtCenter, a megayacht repair/refit firm located in San Diego, has joined the newly-formed U.S. Superyacht Association as the group’s first West Coast member.
The USSA is a trade group of U.S.-based yachting companies that serve the fast-growing megayacht industry.
Other prominent USSA founding members include:
• Trinity Yachts, Gulfport, Mississippi
• The Triton, Nautical News for Captains & Crews
• Northern Lights/Lugger Diesel
Countries currently with superyacht trade associations include Britain, Australia and Italy.
USSA membership is open to any U.S. maritime company with a substantial portion of its revenue derived from superyachts, yachts sized 80 ft and larger. Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the coalition is the first of its kind to bring together U.S.-based firms in the industry.
