BLUEWATER'S LARGE YACHT SERVICE OFFERS MORE

Bluewater Books & Charts has offered specialized services to the large yacht market for several years now, first through the BICCS (Bluewater Inventory and Chart Compliance Service) Program, which began as an effort to help yachts all over the world keep their British Admiralty charts and professional books updated. Now, with more and more large yachts and superyachts coming to Fort Lauderdale, John Mann and Vivien Godfrey, Bluewater's owners, have recognized the need for a revised and updated plan in order to best serve these customers. We're pleased that the captains and owners of these yachts are enjoying our city, and we want to use our resources in the best way that we can to give them the service they expect, says Mann, who is also a founding member of the United States Superyacht Association.

Under the new program, two of Bluewater's specialized Large Yacht team members will travel to a vessel and take a physical inventory of the vessel's charts, software, electronic charts, professional publications, cruising guides and all other navigational materials. Bluewater will then catalog and maintain the inventory, noting when a particular publication becomes outdated and needs to be replaced or corrected, and taking the appropriate action. Bluewater will also keep track of a vessel's purchases, no matter where the items are bought, and the Large Yacht Team will make informed custom recommendations based on a vessel's itinerary. The cost of the service is based on the level of the program that the yacht's captain selects and the amount and type of inventory that is being maintained.
